英国的生活~

没回家一年多了,

又在次的入冬了,

马来西亚,英国时差八个小时.

今年,

天气特别的泠，

下午5点,

天就开始暗了.

六点,

全暗!

得穿到很厚才能出门，

可是现在的天气,

不管衣服是多厚,

迎面吹来的风,

有谁能抵挡？

一年四季是不一样,

当然比马来西亚一年四季,

都是很夏天好.

可是，

英国的天气真的像女人的心情~

起身时看太阳公公都出来了,

可是,当出门时就剩下那乌黑的天空.

还得走那20分钟的路上学.

说真的，

英国只是我们外来人的学习地方,

读完该读的东西,就是回家打拚了,

无论如何，

我们都是第四等人民~

英国人

法国人

黑人

华人

可是，

我也有很棒的同学，

在这里生活，

找工作！

这也是要是人才才能上班工作。

而不是洗洗碗，抹抹座子的~

要很放心思

要很努力才能找到工作。

在加上，不是工作来找你，是你去找工作。

无依无靠的日子，

只能自己来搞定。

没有靠关系，

没有靠人际~

都是自己来的。

人家都说，

哎哟，去英国了，

英文当然便好咯~

这也不是完全对还是不对的。

当你还是没有环境说英文的时候，

你还是一样。

当你的身边的人都是和你一样的人，

就不会学到东西。

我认识一个一个来了英国快7年的人，

还是那样。

还有，

很多人说，哎哟，

去了英国就跟洋人啪拖啦~

这句啊，

真的不是那么容易的。

不一样的共同语言~

吵起架来，

我骂我的华语，

你骂你的法语~

在加上，

不是每个洋人都愿意和华人交朋友的~

今天见面，认识，讲话了，

明天可以就不是朋友。

连‘hello’ 都没说。

说回来，

还是自己的宗族明白自己~

来了这，

朋友也不算多。

能聊的也只有那几个

一个知己

那已经足够了~

几年后,

想想自己在英国的生活,

那样也还不错.

我知道，

我很幸福。

这求学的机会不是每个人都有的~

not updating it for 2 weeks bring me here again in reporting my life here.

Spent Halloween in the Uni club last night.

Dressed freaking casual and didnt wear any make up.

Had a good time there as seeing the western doing shows!

Lim: Why arent you all not wearing make-up?

Lu : Cause we are not doing show, we are going there to watch show.

hahahaha~!

Smart people with smart answer.

Anyhow,

that was the 3rd time me going to the club in the Uni.

Not club in anywhere but in the Uni.

hehehe..

Well,

all and all, I still dont like going to the clubs,

Not knowing the songs,

Not loving to drink.

Going to have HECTIC life in coming weeks!!

Monday to Thursday.

9:30 to 5pm!!

Ive been slacking for 1 week!
No revision has done for the past 1 week!
Sigh,

Going to work hard hard next week (Hopefully)

I think, I shall ban my pc soon! Not going to online that often and stop facebooking!

I miss my days in hostel where I could just on my heater when I felt cold.
But, I am here, staying outside when the electricity & water supply bills are not included in the montly rentle, I cant on the heater when I want =(
Even I do, I just on for 10-15 minutes to warm up my room then I'll turn it off.
I guess, I will be home in 2 months time.
I hope I can be home in 2 months time.
For Christmas!
But before I can go home, I guess I am half dead here for my final exam which s coming in 1.3 months time!
SHIT!
WHAT AM I DOING NOWW?
I SHALL BE STUDYING NOT BLOGGING!!

1 year away from home

friends have been complaining why i dont update my blog~

anyhow,

life now is tough.

have been in the uk, left the home for more than 1 year.

Flying back home is something I wanna do each day ~

Am doing ACCA now, sounds tough and it is really tough.

taking F5, F9 and P2.

Lotsa people never thought that I would choose this path as it is not suitable to me at all. Somehow, I am just giving myself a try, trying to make it, trying to reach the top.

It is just a begining for me on this path and I still have a long way to travel to the end.

Plan changes, plan changes everyday.

I may be saying I would want to be an accountant in the future but the next second, I would rather choose to be a boss or just a normal employee who doesnt need to work as hard as accountants.

Well, accountant , it sounds professional and it really does.

No pain no gain,

I know nothing can come to you automatically without any afford put on~

I will need to try my best.

Sometimes, I just wish to be nobody.

Nevertheless, to be a kid who doesnt need to be thinking about the future!

1 year here is not easy,

somehow,I am glad that I've learned a lot.

i am braver than i believe, stronger than i seem, luckier than i think.

I would grab this great opportunity to be here,

and I always know that I am still *young*cough~

yea,

I dont care, I am still young!

I can still do things I like.

I thank those who came to my life in this 1 year in the UK.

Chinese New Year 2010

Hi people

Happy chinese new year.

this is my first year out from Malaysia , away from family and friends to celebrate my CNY.

Somehow, I am so glad that I ate my reunion dinner with my koko and cheh cheh.

Though there is no Chinese New Year atmosphere,

I was glad that we spent time together-gather!

I have never tried not celebrating CNY without families,

well, now I know how lonely without family members during CNY.

Kinda promised myself to celebrate CNY with family members start from next week onwards.

Brother has been OUT-FROM-HOUSE from CNY for the 5th year,

until he forgets the CNY culture and things we do on sa-chap-meh, cheh yit and cheh ji.

So, bro, if you ever see my this post,

please make yourself at home next week.

At least, recall what you've done 5 years ago before going overseas!

Well,

as I always know,

CNY has bad bad weather.

FREAKING hot ! and, always reluctant to move here and there.

Always feel sleepy back from pai-nian-ing to relatives house.

We do sometimes, fall asleep in relative houses just because the weather is too hot.

oh dear,

I know a lot of people will want to have cold weather

I wish to feel when I was back in Malaysia.

After staying here for few months,

and especially during CNY now,

it snows.

I missed the SMELL of firecrakers in and out from my house.

I missed the sun shines on my house .

I miss my home.

A place where I am supposed to be right now..

Oh well,

I do know that I am here just to study.

Will be back soooooon !!

It is 4 in the morning~

Well,

I should be sleeping instead of sitting here!

I slept at 6 in the morning today and woke up at 11 in the morning !

The reason : too excited for my parents arrivals.

And well, I was actually planning to skip class because I was really sleepy.

talked to my mom at 6 in the morning! hahaha~

Well, guess what?

I looked out from my window and saw the sky was not clear,

Thinking that it was raining heavily, lagi baik, skip class! Ahahha.

Ehm, guesssss what was actually happening?

It was snowing!! IT WAS SNOWING OUTSIDE!!

I got so excited.

Thought it already snowed for some time until my friend called me.

Well, yea, I was lucky. I woke up when it just started to snow.

I went down with my pjyamas but the snow stopped.

Reason for me going down with pjyamas was “wanting to remember this moment where I woke up and saw snow”~

Hahaha

But, the snow stopped!

Nevertheless,

The snow was actually continuing and stopping after some time and it snowed again~

So, I enjoyed!

I went to countries where I got to STEP on snow but I have never experienced snow coming down from the sky. This is first time in my life~!

I have been here for 2 months.

How is my life?

So far so good is what I can say.

I am just back from Manchester for weekend trip , was with PeiYi,Li Keong,Florence,Alan and my sister!

Hehehhe~

Well well,

Few of my close seniors are back.

Like Jenna, Jae and Penny.

Was super upset when seeing they got into cab.

I had loads of fun when they were around.

We had dinner with loads of dishes cooked by French horne’s mates!

Not all, but most of them already gone back.

I will start working harder and start another chapter in life.

I cherish each moment with them though we spent only 1 month together.

Laughter and warmth they brought to my UK life when I reached here.

Food and topics we had.

Treasure and always remember them in the bottom of my heart.

Hey People! I am already here for 1 month. 1 month seems so long for me~ So, how are you people there ? Is everything going smoothly ? I have learnt how to cook NICE porridge now! Just DUMP ....*bak*.... in to make your porridge taste nice! hehehe~ What else? Mashed potatoes , Spaghetti, rice are what I have learned within this month~ well, Everything is going fine here. Headache day.

I know what makes you miss home the most now.
When you feel you’re so HELPLESS.

had a tremendously bad headache this morning and now, it is getting better.
Couldn’t sleep well last night, I was turning here and there for all night long.
Then, this morning, when I woke up at 8am, my head was so heavy!! Couldn’t even walk fast, it made me feel the ache even more!

What did I do today?
Will just blog it !
I woke up at 8 with heavy head.
I met my friends at 8.50am.
Then, took a free shuttle to college lane to the Mercer building, to see whether has my bank letter prepared and has my money actually transferred to the bank account.

All right,
They didn’t allow me to take my bank letter as I still didn’t get my ID card DUE to my money hasn’t transferred.
Then, went to cash payment counter to check,
At first, the lady told me that it hasn’t transferred. Still, I asked her to check properly as the money is TRANSFERRED from UK instead of overseas! So, yea… it has transferred! FINALLY!

After that, I walked by myself to the library, to get my ID.
Know what! I didn’t bring my original passport. So how? I had to walk to the bus station with my heavy head and go back to my hostel to get my passport.
All right,
Super not feeling well, still, I had to WALK.
Reached my hostel after 15 mins,
and, I shed tears .
just because I was so helpless. I couldn’t even sit straight.

Glad that, I got my ID done, and went back to the Mercer building and got my bank letter, and opened my bank after all. This is the happiest thing for today.
Unbearable,
I reached my room at 1pm.
I rested until 5pm.
Just imagine,
A 4 hours nap!
I am not a nap person,
But, I took a 4 hours nap!

I wet my tower and put it on my forehead!
Real tired , real suffer.
I boiled my own bali, but, it tasted weird as I didn’t add in sugar. Ekeke..

At night, walked to ASDA.
Just come back with oranges + apples + milk + vegetables and etc.

This is the most suffer day for this 2 weeks!
I felt so helpless.

I missed my life at home.
How my grandma would wet the tower, cut fruits and refill my water bottle.
How my papa will take medicine for me to take, or bring me to doctor…
How my mama touches at me, asking me how am I and stuff like this.
How my siblings will joke with me!
Furthermore,
i dont even fall sick when i was back in msia~
not even a headache!
why could this happen to me.
Until
i had to take minyak kapas + panadols from my friend?~!

well,
i really miss my life at home
A car which brings me anywhere I want,
I will not to walk for even half and hour.
The most,
10 mins walk?
Or, I don’t even walk that long.
I will park my car to the nearest entrance I can get.

Arggggh.
Still can feel my headache now!
Going to take panadol and take a good rest .
Nothing to do tomorrow.
Glad of it!

DISCO NIGHT!

GUESS WHAT?

I went to club last night! Ahhaha. It is in the UNI actually, it is an event organized by the student union. And, it was held in the forum in the uni. I dressed up casually there but know what.. there were loads of them dressing so so sexy and nice! But, there were few of us, looking so normal. Lol.

I was the MOST MEMALUKAN one as; I brought my SCHOOL BAG with me. Actually, I didn’t expect they would dress up so nicely and go! There are some so malu, but, I am the most melalukan one! Hahahahha~ all right, first time should be like this, I guess! Hahahah!

It was not bad actually, as I met few people from penang. All the while, I met most of the kl people instead of penang’s. so now yea.. I met a guy from RAJA UDA, he met me in TOMYAM MEE before. Lol~ then, 1 is from peng hua and the other one is from SP.

Oh well,

There was actually a FIRE ALARM rang when a Chinese was cooking her dinner and, a lot of them; actually RAN down without knowing what had actually happened which I was eating my LAKSA RICE.

Anyhow, we went to St. Albans today, for free visiting. and, yea... taken loads of pictures there, they are now in my facebook and, i like this the most, as this DOG IS HUGE and it REMINDS me of MY TIGER~!!

well, I just come back from a walk~

A walk from de Havilland to the college lane just because my friends and I were too bored staring at the 4 walls in the room.

So, we walked all the way to college lane wanting to meet caryn, but she wasn’t in, so, we were like stalking to find Royce out, asking him whether does he know where is Rebecca staying. But, know what, he led us to the way to CARYN’S place!

Bla bla bla..

then, we met up Rebecca. We Had a talk infront of Chapman’s hall.

And, we got back after 2 hours.

My gosh,
I saw a terrified scene just now.
I saw the worker of Uni just thrown food into the dustbin.
It wasnt 1 or 2 pieces,
There were few tray of sandwiches there, but, they just dumped them away.

We stopped them.
hahaha.
We tried our best to take as much as we can for our dinner.
Can you guys just imagine, they are people starving out there, but, there are still some people dumping their food away??

As for their reason :

It is getting into midnight now.
I remember, I called home this morning, and, my parents are having raya holiday, having fun at home with relatives! I miss them heaps! I talked to mom,popo,7th aunty,ah mar and kaixin! My gosh, the small little girl makes me miss her so so much! Sigh….!

Nevertheless, I COOKED RICE TODAY PLUS CHICKEN CURRY!
And, CURRY CHICKEN! Never tried cocking before!! I’ve never wanted to bother what my grandma is cooking in the kitchen; I only care what she so called “produced” after doing 2 hours cocking! Sigh.. I miss my grandma’s food!!!

And TODAY! I got to cook! With my curry paste which I brought all the way from my beautiful hometown! My first experience cocking RICE+DISH! It was nice! Hehehe~ I was too excited + hungry until I’VE FORGOTTEN to take pictures of the chicken I cooked! Somehow, I did take picture of the awesome rice which I cooked using the rice cocker which my brother brought for me! Hehehheheh~

Today‘s time was kind of packed as I had some talks for the half day, after that, we went to ASDA,BY WALKING for 30 mins? , a place where we can get cheapest stuff in the town! I got ALL stuff manufactured by ASDA (cheapest). Glad that we got the FREE PICKUP service from the uni!! So, we wouldn’t need to carry our stuff all the way back to our hostel.

YEAA.. I bought the chicken wings for 1.73 pounds.. It has 14 pieces or more inside. So, it will cost around RM10.38. I’m not sure whether do this consider as cheap, but, I feel that this is okay, as I know the price for whole chicken, it costs RM12 for a whole chicken, ehhmm .. Am I correct? Lol!

Oh yea, this guy cocked HONGKONG dishes too. I felt so touched with it! As, I haven’t even eaten 1 BIJI of rice for the past 3 days!! Today, we ate rice with curry+long beans+ some mushrooms and carrots! ! And, drank 1 cup of LIPTON blackcurrant! This is what I describe as “satisfaction”!

First day in Hertfordshire

goodbye friends!

Hey people!

Just in case that, I didn’t inform anyone of you who’s now reading my blog, just for your information, I am now at University of Hertfordshire @ North of London.

Reached here yesterday, flew for 14 hours to reach here, no jet lack because I slept almost 10 hours along the journey. I still can’t access to the internet,just because I have got some problem connecting it. Anyhow, I’ll ask my friend to drop by to help me on it. So that, I can talk to my family members through skype and also my lovely friends who are so far away from me now.

I brought 4 big luggage! Including printer, rice cocker, a mini pan, laptop, cam, clothings, 2 thick books, presents from my friends and so so on…..

University of Hertfordshire…

A ulu place? Hhahah.nope nope.. It is just a peaceful place to study.

First impression isn’t bad since I AM HERE JUST TO COMPLETE MY DEGREE.

Besides, there is a supermarket near my uni, which has been awarded “Britain’s CHEAPEST priced supermarket” for the past 10 years.

I could get 1 BIG pan of PIZZA with only 1 pound! It will supply 3-5 meals for me. Hhehehe.

I CARRIED ALL BY MYSELF to my hostel k. I carried TWICE as I have got 4 luggage. Thought a muscular hot guy will appear to help, who knows, tak da!!! I PULLED my stuff alone by myself to my room. =(

Called sister a few times, and received incoming calls from my sister for a few times.

I wonder how much does it cost on my bill at the end of this month…

I slept at 11 something at night last night but MALAYSIA was going to be morning already! Apaaalaaa!!

This week is only ORINETATION for the new students.

So, nothing much to do,

It is 10:30am now,Msia : 5:35pm.I am Going to meet my new friends at 11am for welcoming talk in the hall or whatsoever.

I have been abandoning my blog for almost 3 months!!

Just feel like blogging because tonight restaurant city is under maintenance and I’ve got some time to blog my updates~

Most of my pals are in Inti now, doing Curtin course but I am currently having holidays after my advanced diploma.

I’m waiting to enter Uni this sept.

Universities I applied through UCAS . 4 accepted out of 5. Good enough huh? Ahhaha !

2^nd) Durham (3 years)

3^rd) Cardiff (3 years)

4^th) Hull (2 years)

5^th) Warwick (Unsuccessful)

However,

My final choice is out of these 5 choices.

It is Hertfordshire.

Curious?

Cause,

It only offers me to the final year.

I am unsure whether s this excellent choice or terrible one.

Just go for 1 year and decide what to do next.

Oh well,

The Little Nyonya !

The story begins from the 1930s, spanning over 70 years till modern day.

Juxiang is born into a big Peranakan family where her mum is a mistress. She is gentle, beautiful and a fantastic cook. Born deaf-mute, she is ostracized by people. Right before the Japanese Occupation in Singapore, she is forced to marry a rich Peranakan as a mistress. Juxiang resists the marriage and runs away from home. She then meets a young Japanese photographerand after many obstacles, they finally get married and Juxiang gives birth to a daughter Yue Niang. During the World War, Juxiang is tortured and both her husband and her dies leaving behind their 8-year-old daughter.

Yue Niang is passed around families and eventually ends up at her grandfather's house. Under the supervision of her grandmother, Yue Niang learns to cook Peranakan dishes and sewing. She grows up looking exactly like her mother and is exceptionally beautiful. After the war, her maternal relatives who ran away to England to seek refuge during wartime return home. Yue Niang then leads the life of her mother – always discriminated, beaten up and tortured. She puts up with all these in order to protect her grandmother.

Yue Niang's pretty looks incurs jealousy from her cousin and attracted many rich Peranakans to chase after her. However, she only has eyes for penniless driver Chen Xi.

Chen Xi actually comes from an educated and wealthy family. He hides his identity to be with Yue Niang. Yue Niang's kindness, pureness and persistence move Chen Xi and he loves her deeply too. Unfortunately, their relationship is filled with many obstacles and difficulties. Under pressure from his family, Chen Xi is forced to marry Yue Niang's cousin instead. Yue Niang is then sold to a butcher, Liu Yi Dao.

Yue Niang is unwilling to accept the fact that her life is always manipulated by others and decides to end her own life. Yue Niang's strong personality impresses Liu Yi Dao and they become sworn siblings instead. Yue Niang decides to choose her own path in life. She begins learning how to run a business and in the process, she is framed and ousted from her business. Although she is badly hit, she manages to overcome the odds and save her declining family business. Sadly, her love life has yet to begin a new chapter with no news about her lover, Chen Xi.

She has to portray two different characters in the drama – Huang Juxiang (Mother) and Yue Niang (Daughter). Huang Juxiang is not easy to play because she is deaf-mute though very pleasant looking. Huang Juxiang is also a virtuous woman who is excellent at cooking and sewing. Later in the show, she marries a Japanese photographer (played by Dai Yang Tian) and gives birth to Yue Niang (also played by Jeanette).

Yue Niang looks exactly like her mother and takes after her positive traits. Also a good cook, she stays at her grandmother's house (played by Xiang Yun) after the death of her mother. Her love interest is Chen Xi (played by Qi Yuwu) but was forced to marry Liu Yi Dao instead (played by Yao Wen Long). Unexpectedly, she becomes sworn siblings with Yi Dao and helped to save the family's declining business.

戚玉武饰演陈锡

Yuwu is the male lead in The Little Nyonya. Young and capable, his character Chen Xi manages his family business well. He has frequent clashes with his Peranakan culture as he was once lived in England, which gave him more freedom. Due to his family, he is unable to marry the woman of his dreams Yue Niang and decides to leave everything behind including his legitimate wife Huang Zhen Zhu (played by Eelyn Kok), family and his business.

外表清秀温柔，心地善良，和月娘情同姐妹，教她读书识字。虽对陈锡有好感，但当她知道陈锡心中喜欢的是月娘，反而撮合二人。不幸被罗伯张强暴，被逼嫁入张家，饱受罗伯张虐待，最后更精神崩溃。

Yamamoto Yousuke is a young Japanese photographer who opens a small photo studio in Singapore . He is kind-hearted and helpful. Liu Yi Dao is a butcher who cannot part with his knife. He is bald and likes to go around without a shirt. He is a man of a few words but is very loyal and keeps to his words.
